Get started on the Mac

  1. Download Rig, open the disk image, and drag Rig to Applications.
  2. Open Rig, choose Set OpenRouter Key, and paste a key from openrouter.ai.
  3. Open a project folder and start a chat.

Connect your iPhone

  1. Install Tailscale on your Mac and iPhone and sign in to both with the same account.
  2. In Rig on your Mac, open Settings → Remote Control and follow Set Up iPhone.
  3. Install Rig on your iPhone and scan the code it shows.

The iPhone can't reach Rig. Check that Tailscale is connected on both devices, your Mac is awake, and Rig is open with Remote Control on.

A project doesn't appear. Projects open on your Mac show up right away. To open others from the iPhone, allow their folder in Settings → Remote Control.

Rig says it's no longer paired. The device was removed on the Mac. Pair again from Settings → Remote Control.
